Bonjour! Hallo! I am Heidi from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
I have a Belgium working holiday visa permit and currently looking for a host family from mid september.
I grew up in Hong Kong and later moved to Taiwan to pursue my degree. If you are looking for a person who can speak Chinese, Cantonese, or English as a native language, I'm the one you are looking for! (I also understand basic French since I took lessons at the Alliance Francaise when I was young.)
Living in a multi-cultural environment, I have learned to be open and respectful of cultural diversities. I can easily adapt to new places and persevere through hardship. I am independent while cooperative at the same time. From a young age, I managed chores such as laundry and cooking along with taking care of my younger sisters. I have also attained Basic Life Support certification from my medical degree. I have a driver's license for both car and motorcycle.
I enjoy spending time with pets and children. We have had two dogs and two rabbits as a part of our family. I was involved in childcare since middle school, being a private tutor for over 5 years and ESL instructor for young children. I also volunteered for community tutoring and babysitting at local community centers, as well as service at a local public hospital. There was a time when I traveled to Cambodia for a service trip to local orphanages. At university, I was also the organizer of an annual public health event for local kindergarteners.
